I recently stayed at Quinta Da Mata - Turismo De Habitacao for a few nights and it was a fantastic experience. The location was stunning, with beautiful views from the patio and pool deck. The historic building was charming and provided a cool and peaceful escape from the heat. The estate is a working farm, but there were no disruptive farm smells or noises. The family-run atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner took the time to suggest wines and offer tastings. The food was delicious, with a hearty breakfast and a fixed menu dinner that included wine. The wifi was also a bonus. Quinta Da Mata - Turismo De Habitacao provided a unique and enjoyable stay.
Can recommend this hotel.

Beautiful romantic old manor. Wonderful grounds - the staff told us we could wander around and pick / eat any fruit we find on the grounds. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and served until anytime you wish before checkout, which is at 1pm not midday like most other places in Portugal / Spain.
WiFi doesn't reach the rooms well probably because the house is made of thick rock. Our room had a bit of a musty smell in it but was fine upon airing out.

Received a very friendly welcome and glass of Port as a welcome to the "Country farm" style guesthouse. As dusk was almost falling, we were lucky to get a chance to meet the Lusitano (in foal) mares and the donkey, collect some eggs and say goodnight to the flock of sheep before dinner. Had a delicious and inexpensive meal at the Miradouro restaurant 2 miles to the east, and ended up buying some local wine from them. A more-than-adequate Breakfast was served in another rather formal and chilly rock-walled room - we had almost finished, when bacon and scrambled eggs arrived! I am sure that a longer stay than our one-night would have been most rewarding.
The bathroom plumbing was functional, but could have done with a re-fit.

We spent Christmas at a charming countryside retreat. the location was perfect, with breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and valleys. the warm and cozy atmosphere was enhanced by the sounds of sheep and crickets. the highlight was the delicious traditional home-cooked meals made with local produce and accompanied by excellent wines. Adding to the experience was the friendly and welcoming staff, who made us feel right at home.
The meals were a bit on the expensive side for simple country cooking, but the quality and taste made up for it. It would have been nice to have more affordable options for dining.

During our recent stay at Quinta Da Mata, we were delighted to have the opportunity to meet the three scooter riders from Porto. It was a unique and charming experience to hear their unfiltered perspective on Portugal. Our host at the hotel was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and olive oils in the region, providing us with valuable insights and recommendations. Additionally, the dinner prepared using local produce was delicious, and the comfortable accommodations exceeded our expectations. Lastly, the traditional Portuguese breakfast was a wonderful way to start our day.

The pool was lit and perfect for chilling with my friends. We had a blast at the children's playground, even though we're technically not kids anymore. Plus, the free WiFi saved our lives when we wanted to flex on social media. The staff was mad cool and gave us the lowdown on the best party spots in town. Can't wait to go back and turn up even more!
The only thing we wished for was a sick party night at the hotel. It would have been dope if they had organized some lit events or a DJ to keep the party vibes going.
